SINGAPOREworldpokertournament, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Health Science Authority and Red Cross launched a joint initiative on Saturdayworldpokertournament, encouraging young people to donate blood to meet the growing demand in the aging city-state.

The "YouthInspired" initiative aims to engage 500 youths between 16 and 25 over the next five years in blood donation activities and empower them to recruit their peers to donate blood.

Singapore Red Cross hopes to increase the youth donor pool to 25 percent by 2030 from the current 15 percent.
