YANGON, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized 456,000 stimulant tablets in southern Myanmar's Bago Region, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Fridayultimatetexasholdem.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police intercepted a vehicle in Yedashe Township on Wednesday and confiscated the drugs along with three mobile phones.
The seized drugs are worth 912 million kyats (about 0.43 million U.S. dollars) and three suspects were arrested, CCDAC said.
The suspects were charged in accordance with the country's law, and investigations are underway to arrest others connected to the case, it added.■
